YouTube Ideation & Content Strategy Intern

About this role

Masters of Engagement (MoE) is a YouTube growth strategy consultancy that manages content strategy for channels generating hundreds of millions of views per month. Our clients include some of the most recognized creators and brands on the platform. We're looking for a YouTube Ideation & Content Strategy Intern to join our team and learn the full creative pipeline behind high-performing YouTube content, from concept generation through title, thumbnail, and publishing strategy. This is not a "fetch coffee and watch from the sidelines" internship. You'll be embedded in active content strategy workflows for channels with massive reach, learning frameworks and processes that most people in the industry never get access to. — What You'll Learn Most YouTube education stays surface-level. This internship goes deeper. You'll walk away understanding: • How to build a repeatable ideation process, not just brainstorm randomly • Why certain titles outperform others and how to test that systematically • How audience data, platform trends, and creative instinct work together in real content decisions • What it actually takes to sustain a channel at scale, across multiple formats and audiences — Details • ~15–20 hrs/week, flexible scheduling • 3 months, with potential to extend or transition based on performance and mutual fit • Remote — reliable internet and availability during U.S. business hours required

Responsibilities

Video Ideation & Concept Development Research trends, audience behavior, and competitive landscapes to generate video concepts for established YouTube channels. You'll learn how top creators decide what to make and why. Title & Thumbnail Strategy Work within proven frameworks to craft titles and evaluate thumbnail concepts. You'll develop an intuition for what drives clicks without sacrificing retention. Shorts Content Testing Help plan and evaluate short-form content strategies across channels. You'll gain hands-on experience with one of YouTube's fastest-evolving formats. Video Production Support Contribute to production workflows as projects move from concept to completion, gaining exposure to the operational side of running a content team.

Requirements

Who This Is For • College students or recent graduates interested in digital media, content strategy, marketing, or video production • Self-starters who consume YouTube intentionally and think critically about why certain videos succeed • Strong communicators who can articulate ideas clearly in writing • People who are curious, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment Bonus points if you: • Already run or have contributed to a YouTube channel • Have experience with video editing, graphic design, or data analysis • Follow the YouTube creator ecosystem closely enough to have opinions about it
